Pedal steel guitar can often add just the right sound for certain recordings, songs, or albums. It has been used on countless records over the years, from a wide variety of artists and bands.
If you’re interested in having pedal steel on a recording, then remote recording sessions are a great option nowadays – this is where the pedal steel is recorded at another location and the tracks are sent to the client.
The tracks are recorded at a high sound quality, just as they would be at any other studio, and are sent over the internet to the artist. Many musicians prefer some of their sessions to be remote, as it allows you to collaborate with a wider range of musicians.
Also, with current technology and productions, it is often cheaper from a budget standpoint than hiring a pedal steel player to record in a nice studio.
Below is more info about my remote recording. I am also available for in-studio sessions. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, and for current rates if you are interested in adding pedal steel to your recording.
